About the Toolkit
Being assertive and speaking up for yourself can be very daunting.
As women, we are programmed to think that taking up space is wrong, but not letting yourself be heard can cost you your health.
This toolkit is equipped with prompts that put you a step ahead in your journey to a diagnosis. The more descriptive your answers, the better. Even if you feel like your doctor might not benefit from a certain detail, it is better to be overly specific than remain vague. The more you expand your answers, the quicker your medical specialist will be able to get to know you and how your body works.
Feel free to either print it out physically or download the toolkit and fill it out virtually.
Emailing the completed worksheets to your healthcare provider before your consultation will insure your next appointment is spent answering your health concerns instead continuously going over your symptoms.
Once your appointment is over, you can note down what took place, not only for yourself, but to inform and/or remind the healthcare provider you will see next about what you last discussed.
By using this toolkit to the fullest, you will also show your doctors your initiative skills and how invested you are in yourself. Displaying this level of self-assurance and organization is crucial, because it will become apparent that you keep tabs on everything when it comes to your health, therefore discouraging specialists from attempting to dismiss or manipulate you.
